The ideal scenario to employ this tactic is when you think you can move your own checkers a lot faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less checkers on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your opponent’s pieces; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary aim of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you’ve created the blockage for the opponent’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other chips quickly from the game board. You will need to also have a good plan when to extract and shift the checkers that you employed for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when the opponent utilizes the same blocking tactic.
