The ideal time to use this tactic is when you think you might be able to move your own chips faster than the opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s chips; or 3) the opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to block the competitor’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about moving your chips rapidly. After you have established the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other pieces rapidly off the board. You should also have a good plan when to withdraw and move the checkers that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the competitor utilizes the same blocking strategy.
